- A Charles Hilton Architects Tour | Lakeside Georgian Estate -

View Project

Located in mid-country Greenwich, Connecticut, this new seven-and-a-half acre lakeside oasis features a main house, a tennis pavilion and guest house, a lakeside pavilion, and a pool pergola. Drawing inspiration from David Adler’s Crane Estate in Ipswich, Massachusetts, this new Georgian main house was carefully proportioned and detailed to unify and modulate the home’s generous size. Flemish-bond brickwork, from Belden Brick Company, was paired with sandstone quoins and accents, from Cleveland Quarries, complementing the blend of the brick’s red tones with the soft, warm hues of the sandstone. The home’s traditional façade is juxtaposed with a more transitional, light-filled interior.

Nestled in a beautifully manicured and exquisitely designed landscape by Hollander Design, the estate is adorned with a tennis pavilion and guest house, a lakeside pavilion, and an Asian-inspired pool pergola.
