SEPTEMBER 2021- A-LIST AWARDS CEREMONY

It was a lovely evening at The Village, celebrating the annual athome A-List awards! CHA was honored with two athome A-List awards including “Best Living Space” and “Best Renovation”.

 

 

JUNE 2021- OFFICE SUMMER PARTY

CHA held its annual summer family office picnic on June23, a beautiful sunny day! Everyone enjoyed the annual cornhole competition, along with other games, good food, margaritas and pie decorating!

 

 

JUNE 2021 – CHA AND NEW ENGLAND HOME COCKTAIL RECEPTION

On Wednesday June 9th CHA held an evening reception with New England Home at the Greenwich Historical Society to welcome Editor-in-Chief Jenna Talbot to Connecticut. Everyone enjoyed gathering at one of the first in person summer events and hearing about Jenna’s upcoming plans and ideas for New England Home.

 

 

DECEMBER 2020- ASPIRE BOOK PANEL

On Wednesday December 2nd ASPIRE DESIGN + HOME held a Live Webinar with moderator, Jill Cohen. Chuck Hilton was honored to join interior designer, Matthew Patrick Smyth, and Barbara Sallick of Waterworks on the panel. In the virtual round table, these award winning designers shared their new books, "Classic Greenwich Houses", "Through a Designer's Eye" and “The Perfect Kitchen”. Each book puts an emphasis on traditional and classic architecture while discussing the design elements that make these homes so timeless.

 

 

SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER 2020- BOOK SIGNINGS AT LOCAL BOOKSTORES

Throughout the months of September and October, local bookstores, Diane’s Books in Greenwich, Elm Street Books in New Canaan, and Barrett Bookstore in Darien hosted Chuck Hilton for book signings of his new book, “Classic Greenwich Houses”.

 

 

SEPTEMBER 2020- ELEISH VAN BREEMS BOOK SIGNING

Chuck was grateful to be able to celebrate his book launch at Eleish Van Breems with some close colleagues. After so many virtual gatherings, it was a pleasure to see friends in person, even if it was socially distant and with masks! Thank you to Eleish Van Breams and Images and Details for hosting a wonderful evening in such a beautiful space!

 

 

SEPTEMBER 2020- A-LIST AWARD CEREMONY & DAVE’S 25TH WORK ANNIVERSARY

On Wednesday September 16th, Charles Hilton Architects celebrated numerous successes at the Milbrook Country Club. The office socially gathered to celebrate associate partner, David Newcomb’s 25th anniversary with the company! CHA also took home four athome A-List Awards, including Best Traditional Architecture Greater than 7,000 sq. ft, during athome Magazine’s remote digital ceremony.

 

 

FEBRUARY 2020- LUXE GOLD EVENT

On February 13, Luxe Interiors + Design celebrated its 2020 Gold List Honorees, an influential mix of top architects, interior designers, builders, and landscape architects who have had their projects editorially featured in the magazine during the past year. Chuck Hilton traveled down to Miami, Florida to celebrate CHA’s Lakeside Georgian Estate being featured in Luxe NY.

 

 

DECEMBER 2019- OFFICE HOLIDAY PARTY

Charles Hilton Architects had another nice evening in downtown Stamford, CT at the restaurant Bar Rosso. The team had a lot of fun with a photobooth, enjoyed a laugh-out-loud year-in-review presentation, and lots of good food!

 

 

NOVEMBER 2019- LUXE EVENT

On November 19th, Luxe Interiors+Design hosted an event at the Greenwich Historical Society celebrating Luxe NY’s November/December Issue featuring the Lakeside Georgian Estate. The evening highlighted the successful collaboration between Charles Hilton Architects, Forehand+Lake, Hollander Design, and Hobbs Inc on this beautiful project.

 

 

NOVEMBER 2019- BATTLE OF THE CHEFS

Chuck Hilton was happy to participate in Luxe Interiors+Design’s Battle of the Chefs event at Aitoro Appliance on November 15th! Good teamwork and a lot of fun yielded some tasty food!

 

 

SEPTEMBER 2019- A-LIST AWARDS

It was another beautiful evening at the Palace Theater in Stamford, CT, celebrating the annual athome A-List Awards. CHA was honored to be named the winner of the ‘Best Traditional/Classic Bathroom’ and to be named a finalist for ‘Best Traditional Architecture Less than 7,000 sq. ft.

 

 

AUGUST 2019- OFFICE SUMMER PARTY

CHA held its annual summer office picnic on a beautiful summer day in August. The office enjoyed some friendly competitions of cornhole and pool, along with a lot of good food and drinks!

 

 

APRIL 2019- CT PRESERVATION AWARD

Charles Hilton Architects was thrilled to be at The CT Trust for the Historic Preservation’s annual awards to celebrate CHA’s own Cameron Henry winning the Mimi Findlay Award for young preservationists!

DECEMBER 2018- STANFORD WHITE AWARDS

Charles Hilton Architects was honored to be the recipient of a 2018 Stanford White Award for its Asian inspired pool pergola in mid-country Greenwich, CT.

JUNE 2018- HISTORIC DISTRICT SIGN DEDICATION

The Greenwich Preservation Network dedicated a new historic marker for the Strickland Road Historic District in Greenwich, CT. Charles Hilton was pleased to join Greenwich Historical Society Chairman, Davidde Strackbein, Greenwich Historical Society Executive Director, Debra Mecky and Greenwich Preservation Network Chairman, Diane Fox, for the dedication of the new Historic District marker.

 

 

JUNE 2018- NEW ENGLAND HOME WATERFRONT DESIGN PANEL DISCUSSION

It was a picture perfect evening on Long Island Sound with New England Home Magazine, who hosted a panel discussion on ‘The Path to your Coastal Dream Home’. Chuck Hilton was honored to be a part of the panel and to share some of his tips and tricks for designing and building on the water.

 

 

APRIL 2018- GREENWICH HISTORICAL SOCIETY LANDMARK

The Greenwich Historical Society hosted its 23rd annual Landmarks program. The program was created in 1987 to recognize, document and preserve the architectural heritage of Greenwich. Since then, the Historical Society has plaqued nearly 300 homes from Colonial to Post-modernist structures, both public and private. Charles Hilton Architects is honored to be an ongoing sponsor of program.

NOVEMBER 2017- THE CLASSICAL AMERICAN HOUSE BOOK LECTURE AND SIGNING

The Perrot Memorial Library hosted Chuck Hilton and Phillip Dodd for a book talk and signing of the new book, The Classical American House. Hilton spoke about CHA’s projects featured in the book, as well as the firm’s use of classical deign principles to create classic homes today.

Charles Hilton Architects held its annual summer picnic at Tod’s Point Park on July 27th with a little Hawaiian flair. The day’s festivities were filled with games of cornhole and jenga, good food, and a lot of laughs!

 

 
 

MAY 2017 - GREENWICH ROTARY CLUB 2017 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR

The Greenwich Rotary Club honored Charles Hilton along with Mary Hull as their ‘2017 Citizens of the Year’. In its 21st year, Rotary’s annual Citizen of the Year celebration honors individuals working and living in Greenwich for their service and commitment to the Greenwich community. Chuck was honored for his community service leading his firm as the designer of the Greenwich September 11th Memorial, the Greenwich Rotary Centennial Pavilion in Byram Park and new signage to mark Greenwich’s nine historic districts. The CHA team joins the wonderful celebration on a beautiful evening at the Round Hill Club on Wednesday, May 17th.

DECEMBER 2016 - SIGN DEDICATION

The Greenwich Preservation Network dedicated a new historic marker for the River Road-Mead Avenue Historic District in Cos Cob, CT. Charles Hilton was pleased to join Greenwich Historical Society Chairman, Davidde Strackbein, Greenwich Historical Society Executive Director, Debra Mecky and Greenwich Preservation Network Chairman, Diane Fox, for the dedication of the new Historic District marker. The sign designed by Charles Hilton Architects is the second of 15 Historic District signs planned for the 9 Historic Districts in Greenwich.

 

 
 
 

NOVEMBER 2016- NEW ENGLAND DESIGN HALL OF FAME CELEBRATION

Several CHA team members celebrated with Chuck Hilton as he was inducted into the New England Home Design Hall of Fame on November 10, 2016. The New England Home Design Hall of Fame “honors individuals who have had exceptional careers in New England’s residential design industry. A small number of architects, interior designers, landscape architects, and builders whose work, influence, and community involvement have set them at the pinnacle of their profession” are inducted into the Hall of Fame each November. The ceremony was held at the State Room in Boston, MA in front of an audience of nearly 500 design and construction professionals.
